Citizen Sleeper developer Gareth Damian Martin, who makes games under the studio name Jump Over The Age, could have revealed that their next game is one where you just look at the screen and a cute animal sings the ABCs over and over again… and I trust them enough that I would’ve been locked in. That said, I’m thrilled their Citizen Sleeper 2: Starward Vector follow-up is a brand-new metropolis for storytelling in the form of a “fungalpunk” RPG. Born in the brackish waters of Signet City’s bay, you play as a fungal parasite who must inhabit the minds of humans still living in the city and guide them into their final season of humanity.

It ditches the more god-like view and cyberpunk setting of Citizen Sleeper in favor of a post-punk 1980s brutalist city that you explore from the first-person perspective of the eyes you’ve invaded as a parasitic being.
