Players don’t have a ton of options in high-quality controllers for their new Switch 2 consoles, other than Nintendo’s own first-party Pro. With a firmware upgrade, 8BitDo fits that bill admirably (and can double as a PC controller). The Ultimate 2 punches above its weight class, featuring its own dedicated charging dock and the same coveted TMR sticks that  have begun to appear on much more expensive controllers. The Ultimate 2 features extra bumpers and back buttons, as well as triggers that can be swapped between Hall effect and tactical triggers with a quick flip. The aesthetic design is also a win, featuring a slick, curved look and an attractive matte finish in black, white, or vibrant yellow, as well as light-up thumbsticks that add some flash without being garish.
