The Take Over

Atlus’ Persona franchise has emerged as one of the preeminent role-playing series of the 21st century, thanks in large part to its rock-solid turn-based combat, incredible character-driven narratives, and fun social simulations. However, one piece of the equation has transcended the games to stand on its own as something that can be enjoyed just as much by those who have never played them: the soundtracks.

Led by longtime composer Shoji Meguro, Persona 3, Persona 4, and Persona 5 all have iconic tracks that have become mainstays on many gamers’ playlists. And yet, until this year, concerts celebrating the beloved soundtracks have mostly skipped the United States. That changed in January, as Persona Live 2026: Awakening featured Persona 5 vocalist Lyn Inaizumi (primarily known simply as “Lyn”), Persona 3 Reload vocalist Azumi Takahashi, and Persona 3 rapper Lotus Juice.

Lyn has been involved in the Persona series for more than a decade now, dating back to the original release of Persona 5. During that time, she’s had the opportunity to watch the styles of the many games in the Persona 5 subseries evolve, as well as leave her own mark on the beloved soundtracks.
